Executive Summary

Ashima Gupta did her undergraduate degree in Engineering in Electronics And Communication stream from a well engineering college in Bangalore. During her journey as a employee at Xciting an IT company she gained lot of experiences. The training part of Xciting was interesting according to Gupta because she saw everyone was ecited to do work at new workplace.

In domain related training she was alone and her other three friends were shifted to other domains. She cleared the domain test also. Other challenge for her was to found what kind of personality she has? The answer was she feels that she plays role of two people in two different situations like when she work alone in a process she is a strategic personality and whenever she is in a group of people. In those situations she feels responsible, which brings more new confusing questions in her mind regarding her personality. Another feeling of worry was occur when she knew about changing of her work ofiice. Her very close friend got posting in other city and she was posted in a new office but it was in the city.

Key Assumptions

  • Project Partner did not offer to do anything.
  • Less chances to work in Bangalore.
  • No response from person regarding report in new office.
  • Hope to get know more about the new team members.
  • Reassigning to other project in new office.
  • Unexpected tasks.

Criteria

Gupta is a kind of person who likes to learn about things. She likes to know what she is doing. She utilize her free time in reading. She had to be clear what she wanted in her line of work.

Case Analysis

My action plan if I was there in place if Gupta:

If I got job in IT sector after completing my degree in Electronics and communications I would do it in the same way Gupta did because according to my knowledge in India most of the companies demand for IT software whether you did your qualification in other stream. I would not leave Xciting because in India the competition is very much tough in IT companies and also it is very difficult to get a job in these sectors so if someone get job in such a reputable companies like Xciting he/she want to stick with it whether it is related field job or not.

Improvements made to Xciting Socialization practices:

The more imperative day for employees is first day of work so CEO of the association takes each representative to lunch when they touch base at new organization inside the first month. Organizing their first day can pay very long term profit over the long haul.

Socialization and Newcomers Onboarding practices

  • Make primary day at work extraordinary.
  • Plan and execute introduction programs.
  • Be participatory in Nature.
  • Use new techniques to encourage new process.
  • Always connect with key stakeholders.
  • Execute fundamentals before first day at work
  • Make and execute onboarding plans.
  • Incorporate key stakeholders gatherings.

Plan of Action

  • Get formal feedback from Manager.
  • Prepare for the meetings.
  • Learn how to deal with different situations and people.
  • Do not afraid of change.
